AIM Advisory provides Furniture, Fittings and Equipment (FF&E) project management and consultancy services to the Construction and Development industries. Our project delivery teams comprise of qualified engineers, project managers and procurement specialists who have delivered complex projects across several countries, including Australia, the Middle East, Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand.

As a Medical Equipment and FF&E consultant, you will be responsible for providing medical equipment and FF&E support and solutions to various projects in the Healthcare and Social Infrastructure industry.

That means you will require an enthusiastic and proactive attitude and a flexible working approach, combined with the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures and the willingness to learn and expand your abilities every day.

The main roles and responsibilities of the medical equipment and FF&E consultant include:

  • Prepare the FF&E list and budgets for projects.
  • Provide specialist technical advice and technical support in the delivery of FF&E consultancy in healthcare and social infrastructure projects.
  • Coordination and leading user group meetings focused on the development of the FF&E list.
  • Engaging with the market to obtain feedback on new technologies and FF&E costs.
  • Educating end users on the advantages and disadvantages of FF&E in a facility, including options available in the market that would suit project design.
  • Ability to work with database systems such as SQL, Access and dRofus for management of medical equipment and FF&E project data.
  • Expert in using MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
  • Working independently with minimal supervision and reporting to a Project Director.
  • Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines.

Your key focus areas in this role are as follows:

  • Carry out project tasks such as planning and budgeting, establishing medical equipment and FF&E master list and budget based on project-specific requirements. 
  • Preparation of FF&E specification, listing and scheduling FF&E utility requirements.
  • Manage FF&E database system for management of medical equipment and FF&E data.
  • Produce project-related FF&E reports. 
  • Provide input during user group meetings and project meetings.
  • Coordinate and work with Architectural and engineering project teams.
  • Provide technical guidance to the support team in project delivery with clear in-depth understanding of project-related FF&E 
  • Review FF&E audit data and identify equipment suitable for transfer from an existing facility.
  • Project and deliverables management, lead the coordination and management of the delivery, installation, and commissioning process for FF&E.
  • Ability to develop detailed, professional, and accurate designs, documents, and reports.
  • Highly adept at writing detailed technical reports and formulating concise technical arguments
  • Meeting deadlines agreed with clients.

What you will bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s Degree qualification in Engineering/Nursing/Procurement/Project Management with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Must have the right to work in Australia.
  • A good understanding of the FF&E management process used on Social Infrastructure projects, including healthcare, education, corrections, sports, etc.
  • Experience working on FF&E lists/databases on projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving/investigative skills.
  • Strong communication and training skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with peers and project team.
