Field Electrician - Sunraysia Solar Farm

FIELD TECHNICIAN

(Closest township in Balranald)

Recurrent Energy, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar, has a vacancy to join the team at Sunraysia Solar Farm, south of Balranald.  We’re seeking a motivated, organised and independent field technician to play a rewarding role in exceptional maintenance of our solar farm’s operations. 

• Potential total package up to $117,500 (includes base plus allowance plus bonus) plus 11.5% Super
• ^ Plus overtime paid at award rates.
• Local candidates desirable, or company carpooling vehicle from Swan Hill to site and back available.
• Roster:  
  • 8 days on, 6 days off.  
  • 9.5 hour days plus 30 minute break (10hr day).

You will be responsible for: 

• Performing routine maintenance on equipment
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting various project systems issues
• Developing standard operating documents for machine maintenance, operations and training
• Overseeing and supervising sub-contractors

To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics and the like, electrical qualifications (including HV) and experience in electrical maintenance and repairing various types of electrical equipment with preferred experience in renewables and solar.

This position requires work outside of normal daytime hours. You may also be requested to travel to other solar farms for a pre-determined period of time to support or train. Employment in this position is conditional upon completion of pre-employment medical screening.  As this is a long term role, we are only seeking Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents.
