We provide peace of mind for agents, landlords, and tenants through our simplified and reliable compliance management solution. Our Real Estate Agency clients engage our services due to our industry-leading service, reporting, and customer service experience.

We are in an exciting phase of business, having recently invested in innovative technology and infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced, genuine leader to oversee our Greater Sydney Field Service operations and guide the business through this next stage of growth.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager and supported by team leaders and sophisticated systems, you’ll oversee our Field Services team of Technicians and Electricians, ensuring the smooth daily operation of service delivery and maintaining our 5-star rating. You will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and leading PS360 Field Technicians and Electricians, ensuring efficiency, quality, productivity, and other key drivers of service delivery operations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Field Service Team daily
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage the performance of Technicians and Electricians
  • Oversee initial and ongoing training of team members and maintain a training environment
  • Schedule and conduct team toolbox talks
  • Prepare and maintain WHS documents and communications
  • Ensure team adherence to relevant WHS standards
  • Manage incident response and support
  • Oversee our fleet of vehicles with the admin team's assistance
  • Manage tools and stock with the Lead Technician's assistance
  • Improve service processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and timely service delivery
  • Manage staffing levels and scheduling to ensure timely completion of work requests
  • Build a safe and efficient team with a focus on customer service
  • Monitor and analyse service metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans
  • Drive our core values within your team
  • Work with the Operations and Systems departments to achieve operational efficiencies
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks and update policies and procedures as required
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems
  • Serve as the escalation point for team leaders for any customer and operational issues related to Field Services
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports on delivery performance metrics and associated costs, and advise the General Manager and CEO accordingly

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in a similar industry—fire protection or rental property compliance. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven success in developing and leading a field service team
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of safe work practices
  • A passion for improving the overall culture with a positive 'can-do' attitude
  • A customer-centric attitude and a willingness to quickly develop a deep understanding of our unique business
  • Experience working within safety cultures and applying multiple legislative instruments such as WHS, Residential Tenancies Act, Australian Standards, etc.
  • Understanding of the Industrial Relations framework
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and initiative
  • Professional appearance, reliability, and demeanour
  • Knowledge of general business software and the aptitude to learn new applications

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Fire Protection accreditation is a significant advantage
