Job Description - Finance and Administration Support Officer

Pinaroo Roma Inc. is a not-for-profit Aged Care Facility situated in Roma, Queensland and is currently seeking a Finance and Administration Support Officer to join our team. This is a Part Time position working approximately 75 hours per fortnight, Monday - Friday. We are a 71 bed facility. 

We are looking for an experienced Officer to join our team who will perform a variety of financial and administrative tasks and be the first point of contact for incoming calls and for visitors to Pinaroo. 

For this position, you should be able to work autonomously, using your organisational skills to manage your office space and your time. You should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Ultimately, you will be working alongside staff and management and support them to ensure the day-to-day office operations run smoothly. 

  • Duties for this role include, but are not limited to: 
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions 
  • Petty Cash maintenance and reconciliation 
  • Facilitating new staff orientation and induction 
  • Continual maintenance and assistance with administration and financial policies and procedures 
  • General administration, such as preparation of resident agreements, filing, archiving, data entry, word processing, minute taking and photocopying 
  • Prepare banking as required Whilst 

we will provide on-the-job training regarding our processes, and understanding of our business, it is our expectation that you have solid experience in financial and administrative processes and have the skill set consistent with a role of this nature. 

To be successful in attaining this role, it is important that you can identify your ability to meet the following criteria and also discuss at interview stage.

  •  Previous experience in accounts payable and receivable 
  • Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail 
  • Have excellent time management skills 
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team 
  • Previous experience with MYOB is desirable 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs 

Wages as per the Aged Care Award 2010 – Remuneration to be discussed at interview stage
