Finance Manager

Our client is a growing boutique professional services firm headquartered in Sydney CBD, with plans to expand into two new states. They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee all aspects of the company's financial management and support its strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all day-to-day financial operations using Xero, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
• Oversee month-end procedures, prepare financial reports, and provide variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with tax obligations such as BAS, GST, and FBT, working with external advisors as needed.
• Develop and maintain financial models, budgets, and forecasts to support business strategy and growth plans.
• Manage banking operations, liaise with external stakeholders (banks, auditors, tax advisors), and coordinate insurance renewals.
• Lead the annual audit process, ensuring accurate preparation of required documentation.
• Oversee IT systems management, working with external providers to ensure business needs are met.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.

Key Requirements:

• CA or CPA qualification is essential.
• Minimum of 6+ years of commercial experience in a similar finance role, ideally within professional services or a boutique firm.
• Experience with Xero and a strong understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to manage complex financial operations and reporting in a hands-on environment.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• A desire to work on-site in the Sydney CBD office 3-4 days a week.
