The Organisation Our client, renowned for their award-winning urban planning and sustainable architecture projects, is transforming the face of several Australian cities with innovative and state-of-the-art commercial designs. Located on the CBD fringe in a modern office, they are seeking a Finance Manager who can manage operations and provide the Board with strategic commercial advice.
The Role Reporting to the General Manager, the Finance Manager will be responsible for:
- Preparing all monthly and annual financial, management, and project reporting/accounts.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a small but highly skilled finance team.
- Providing commercial recommendations to the Board and Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
- Monitoring all cash flow activities and associated reports.
- Working with the General Manager to review and implement a suite of financial analysis tools and systems.
- Collaborating with the ELT to deliver and present the annual budget to the Board.
- Ensuring adherence to all statutory compliance obligations with regulatory bodies.
- Attending and contributing to monthly Board and Committee meetings.
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience leading a finance team, ideally within a professional services environment (accounting, engineering, legal). You will hold a professional qualification (CA/CPA) and have significant exposure to managing cash flow activities.
Our client has several process improvement opportunities and seeks someone with a desire to identify and lead continuous improvement processes. You will enjoy being part of a team and possess a customer-first mindset. Advanced Excel skills and Microsoft Power BI skills are highly desirable.
