Finance Officer

Toowoomba based not for profit have an opportunity for a Finance Officer.

At St Stephens Meals on Wheels, we are seeking a Senior Finance Officer who will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and operations of the business. You will report directly to the General Manager and be a point of reference for a dynamic team.

If you have experience in the following then this could be the role for you:

• Processing financial operations such as accounts payable, receivable, client billing, and financial accounting.
• Debtors’ management, debt recovery processes and banking arrangements.
• Prepare and monitor the annual budget with variance analysis.
• General administration skills, including excellent phone and email etiquette.
• Ensuring compliance with GST, Fringe Benefits Tax, and all statutory requirements.
• Supporting strategic decisions with detailed financial reporting and analysis.
• Manage external audits and maintain accurate reconciliations.
• Optimize IT programs and implement process efficiencies for data accuracy and internal controls.
• Proven long term Xero processing ability. 
• A Certificate IV or above in accounting / business.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire team.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and a track record of implementing system improvements.
• Exceptional analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong time management, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in a finance role within a Not For Profit, Health Care or Aged Care organisation an advantage.
• A reliable and trustworthy TEAM player.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
• National Police Clearance / NDIS worker screening. 
• Proof of Covid -19 Vaccination.
