Permanent Finance Officer - $75k - $80k Your new company You will be working for one of the world's largest claims and risk management companies in the world. Manage Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) administration, including staff driver and car parking logbooks, meal entertainment expense reviews, and quarterly Gifts, Meals & Entertainment (GME) reporting to the compliance office.
Prepare and coordinate statutory and regulatory reporting, including bi-annual Payment Times Reporting Scheme (PTRS) submissions, Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) returns, and related reviews for CFO approval.
Provide payroll support and act as a backup for end-to-end payroll activities, including new starter setup, employee data maintenance, timesheet processing, leave reconciliations, superannuation lodgements, payroll tax submissions, and termination calculations.
Support payroll system projects and enhancements, including integration with Oracle HCM (PeopleHub) HRIS.
Manage supplier and banking processes, including establishing new client bank accounts with HSBC, reviewing and preparing EFT and cheque payments, and conducting supplier bank detail verification.
Assist with month-end close activities, including supplier account statement journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain and administer access to expense management and travel portals, including user setup and ongoing maintenance.
Support the Finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting, and operational requests as required.
What you'll need to succeed
3+ years' experience in a finance or accounts role, with Australian payroll experience.
Working knowledge of payroll legislation and strong numeracy skills.
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.
Experience with accounting systems (Dynamics NAV preferred) and Microsoft 365, including intermediate Excel.
