Finance Officer (Accounts Receivable) - Hiring Now

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and professional individual to join our Finance team. This is a client-facing role that involves liaising with staff, students, parents, and other community members. The primary responsibility is the efficient processing of accounts receivable, including billing, receipting, and reconciliation of parent accounts. 

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer will support and enhance the Finance Team's operations, particularly in managing accounts receivable and debtor follow-ups.

This role is permanent, full time, 1 FTE position. The successful applicant will be working a 37.5 hour week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm and is based at our Senior Campus in Mowbray, Tasmania. 

Applicants will have: 

• Cert IV in Business Administration or equivalent competency. 
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Relevant recent experience with a computerised financial system. 
• Previous experience in an administrative role within a school environment would be an advantage.
• Experience in the use of proprietary software, is desirable.
• Ability to analyse systems and procedures; and recommend and implement efficiency improvements. 
• Proficient use of IT hardware and software, particularly Microsoft Office applications. 
• Proficient use of databases, including data input and retrieval. 
• Strong customer service skills and personal presentation.
