About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join our growing team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Officer will play a crucial role in the financial health of the organisation, transactional analysis, and provide financial insight to the executive management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. The role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with various departments to drive financial efficiency and support key decision-making processes.

Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, your key responsibilities will include:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts on a regular basis for management review.
• Assist with cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning.
• Assist with End of Month processes including accruals, provisions, prepayments, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Ensuring timely and accurate billing
• Weekly reviews and reconciliations of Accounts Receivables ledger including debt collection.
• Assisting with BAS, Payroll Tax and Superannuation Lodgements.

Selection Criteria

Essential

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting and/or Finance (Degree, Diploma, Certificate).
• Exceptional knowledge of MS Office package including Outlook.
• Exceptional knowledge of the Xero accounting package.
• An understanding of payroll functions and processes.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise.
• Willingness to drive continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Right to work in Australia with no limitations.
