The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Finance Partnering Manager - Power to join our Finance team on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Head of Energy Infrastructure Partnering, you will play a key role in driving financial strategy and performance by partnering with senior leaders across APA’s Power division, delivering critical insights, and leading a high-performing finance team to support strategic decision-making and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with senior leadership to shape and deliver strategic financial plans that drive growth, optimise performance, and support long-term financial objectives
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes, ensuring alignment with business strategy and financial targets
Deliver insightful financial analysis and reporting, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders
Identify financial risks and opportunities, driving initiatives to improve profitability, efficiency, and overall business performance
Drive cost optimisation and high-performance initiatives, balancing efficiency with value creation in a complex operational environment
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance partnering team while building strong, trusted relationships with senior management within the business
Your Background
Proven experience in finance business partnering, FP&A, or commercial finance within a complex, large-scale organisation
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering capability uplift and strong engagement
Track record of building and maintain senior stakeholder relationships and contributing to strategic decision-making
Advanced financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills with a commercially focused mindset
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver clear and compelling financial narratives
Experience working with financial systems (e.g. Workday, Adaptive Planning, PowerBI or similar), ideally within infrastructure, energy, or capital-intensive industries
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity where you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, influencing key decisions, and leading finance business partnering across the Power portfolio, covering existing assets and supporting a substantial growth portfolio.
