Conflux Technology is in an exciting growth phase and have an opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our growing team. 

About the Role

Reporting to the CFO, this pivotal role will focus on all aspects of the finance function including day-to-day finance operations, preparing monthly accounting reports, financial statements, forecasting and payroll to ensure finance deliverables meet internal expectations, timelines, accounting standards and achieve the company’s strategic goals.

This is a hands-on role and offers an exciting opportunity to enhance and refine financial policies and processes, setting the stage for our continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: process invoices, manage payments, issue sales invoices, and follow up on overdue payments.
• Payroll: administer payroll activities, including superannuation, payroll tax, and compliance reporting.
• Financial Reporting: prepare monthly reports, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Bank Reconciliation: manage regular bank reconciliations and foreign currency transactions.
• Month-End Processing: assist with reconciliations, journal entries, and working papers
• Bank Reconciliations: perform regular bank reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and manage foreign currency transactions
• Ledgers: maintain company ledgers, including intercompany transactions and review and payment of expenses
• Tax Compliance: assist with preparing BAS, FBT, ITR, and PAYG reporting.
• Forecasting & Budgeting: assist the CFO to develop budgets and forecasts.
• Audit Support: prepare and reconcile financial data for year-end audits.
• Continuous Improvement: drive process enhancements across the finance function to streamline operations.

This is a Full Time position with remuneration commensurate with your qualifications, skills and experience. We are also open to considering part-time hours for the right candidate. 

About You

Conflux are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Accountant with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role and relevant tertiary qualifications.

You may have experience working in the industrial or manufacturing sector and have confidence working in fast paced environments.

You will be a hands-on and practical Accountant with a strong understanding of accounting and finance principles, and excellent problem solving skills. You will pride yourself on having exceptional attention to detail and a proactive focus for continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience

• CA or CPA qualified (or in-progress) with 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
• Excellent organisational skills and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously
• Ability to improve and streamline financial processes and systems
• Proficient in Xero, with advanced knowledge of Excel and Word
• Proven experience as an Accountant with a strong understanding of company financial processes
• Experience in managing a broad range of accounting functions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of internal stakeholders

Location

Conflux Technology is situated in Waurn Ponds, Geelong with a satellite office in Collingwood, Melbourne. Conflux operates on a 38-hour week Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times. Due to the nature of additive manufacturing and our global client base, some work outside standard hours may be required from time to time.
