Joining our growing Corporate Services team, you’ll play a hands-on role in helping modernise and automate our finance operations, while contributing ideas, problem-solving and driving meaningful change. If you enjoy working in environments where you can roll up your sleeves, challenge outdated processes and help shape smarter ways of working, this role offers the chance to be part of a genuine transformation journey.
About Caritas Australia
We are Compassion in Action. Caritas Australia is the international humanitarian and aid agency of the Australian Catholic Church. We have a vision to end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity for all. We partner with the most vulnerable communities to help them build better outcomes by improving access to sustainable livelihoods, clean water, sanitation and education.
About the opportunity, working landscape, and our ideal candidate:
Over the past three years, our organisation has been on an exciting transformation journey, investing heavily in technology and modernising the way we operate in a contemporary landscape. We’ve now reached the next phase of that journey, with investment being injected into our Corporate Services team.
Right now, many of our processes are still manual, creating a real opportunity to automate, improve efficiencies, and introduce smarter ways of working. As part of this journey, you’ll play an active role in exploring solutions, implementing new systems, and helping shape the future state of our finance function.
Based in our state-of-the-art Mascot office, we’re proud of our fun, vibrant and contemporary culture. We’re now looking for a motivated and forward-thinking person who’s excited by the challenge of bringing their expertise into an environment focused on automation, innovation and continuous improvement.
Because we’re in a genuine transformation phase, we’re especially keen to meet people who have previously worked in environments where everything wasn’t perfect, but where they made a meaningful impact by bringing structure, stability and smarter processes to the team. We foster a culture of continuous improvement, someone who is always looking for smarter ways of working would thrive in this team environment.
As a smaller team, we value people who are resourceful, collaborative, and naturally curious — people who enjoy researching solutions, troubleshooting challenges, and rolling up their sleeves to make things happen.
Our organisation is filled with highly skilled and motivated people who have a deep commitment to utilising their professional skills and experience to have a positive impact. We seek individuals whose values align with Caritas Australia’s mission to end poverty and injustice by promoting human dignity for all, as well as a dedication to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching that guide our global efforts.
