This role will be offered as a temporary contract for a 6-month duration.

Your new role
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial services, annual financial statements, asset management, and general ledger information.


Key responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking financial processing functions and preparing accurate and timely financial reports
• Contribute to the development and implementation of systems that ensure compliance with external standards and reporting requirements
• Provide expert financial advice
• Assist in developing and maintaining financial policies and procedures

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar discipline
• Proven experience in preparing financial statements within a State Govt context
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work within strict deadlines
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
• Previous involvement in finance-based project work
• Familiarity with public sector financial frameworks, legislation and processes
