Our client stands as a proudly Australian-owned entity, offering strategic investment and asset management services tailored for the agricultural sector in Australia.  Their Sustainability Framework is centered around three pillars – Planet, People and Prosperity, with this role supporting their Australian 100% renewable Timber Production facilities.
  
The Fund Accountant will report to the Finance Manager (Timber) and CFO and will provide financial, costing and analysis in support of understanding and improving profitability.

The Role

• Monitor and report on routine financial and operating metrics to the management team
• Manage cash flow and monitor budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility
• Oversee daily transactions related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable 
• Ensure completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Conduct periodic reconciliations of supplier and receivable accounts to ensure their accuracy
• Issue timely and complete financial statements
• Assist and manage outsourced functions such as audits, tax and insurances 

Qualifications/Skills 

• Tertiary qualifications in Business/Administration or related 
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting Finance (CA/CPA qualified or looking to become qualified)
• Experience in Finance or Accounting roles
• Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Trust or Fund Accounting experience preferred but not essential
