Access Covers Australia Pty Ltd was established in 1993 and is a well-known name in the provision of access covers and grates, steel sales and fabrication & all associated products.
We are seeking an experienced Accountant for a full-time role, who can grow with our business.
RESPONSIBILITIES, FUNCTIONS AND TASKS
- General Ledger Accounting & Reporting
- Capturing journal entries (accruals and manual entries, posting of month end & concur journals into Reckon
- Recording bank statements and credit cards on a daily basis (plus reconciliation and clearing)
- Overseeing monthly transactional accounting ensuring quality and compliance with company policies
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis including intercompany loan reconciliations
- Preparing the Fixed Assets entries, depreciation and reconciliation
- Preparing and filing company tax obligations (GST, PAYG, Payroll Tax).
- Processing company payroll and related reporting (STP, Payroll Tax and Superannuation )
- Liaising with customers & suppliers and office personnel in relation to accounts/invoices queries
- Oversee accounts Payable receivable including AP/AR reconciliation and handle all internal and external enquiries.
- Identifying and being involved in process improvement projects
- Assist finance team members with ad hoc duties
Office Administration
- Other accounts / office tasks as required subject to Managing Director’s needs
- Establishing cooperative working relationships with peers and colleagues that increases the overall level of support to managers and executives
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Finance related degree with a professional qualification preferred (CPA or CA equivalent).
- Excellent RECKON/MYOB skills are required
- Minimum of 2+ years practical experience in Accounts Functions
- Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Hands on experience in payroll processing
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
