Financial Assistance Consultant

The Financial Assistance Consultant, reporting to Team Manager Financial Hardship & Dispute Resolution is responsible for providing personalised and timely support and help to Angle Customers in moments that matter. 

This means connecting with customer providing personalized service, building trust by being open and honest, listening and understanding their situation.  You will develop abilities in having deep customer relationships, quality conversations and being able to connect across the Angle value chain to find solutions for Customers.

Key Responsibilities;

• Responsible for hardship management and customer engagement
• Review and assess requests for hardship assistance received through multiple channels, providing options to the customer, offering case by case solutions, and monitoring agreements for adherence
• Manage continuous and effective communication with an understanding of clients’ background and changes in their circumstances
• Deliver an outstanding client experience for clients who are currently experiencing temporary financial difficulties
• Work closely with clients and/or their financial counsellors to make workable solutions that are the best outcome for both parties
• Learn and continually develop your understanding of the technical and legal aspects of complex cases of personal insolvency and hardship management
• Implement and document effective hardship management processes, and creating a ‘customer centric culture’ with other team members

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Administration, Business or similar is beneficial, but not essential
• 3-5 years in a customer centric / financial services / team member role or similar

Experience

• Strong customer focus and passion for delivering quality outcomes for the customer
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly developed and professional interpersonal skills, including strong relationship development skills
• Ability to connect with customers, build a relationship and lead the conversation to the right solution
• Capacity to efficiently manage your time and multitask with a strong commercial mindset
• Prior experience in a Financial Services / contact centre environment is desirable (not mandatory)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced level preferred)
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
