• $160,000 - $180,000 incl. super

Charterhouse are partnering with a privately owned, long-established property development and investment group who have a track record in delivering large-scale residential communities across Queensland.

With more than 40 entities operating across trusts and group structures, this is a sophisticated, multi-entity environment where treasury, structure and commercial decision-making genuinely matter.

This is not a "sit back and report" Financial Controller role.
This is a hands-on leadership position, reporting directly to the CEO, where you'll influence decisions, manage complexity, and own the financial heartbeat of the business.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO, you will:

• Lead and develop a finance team of 3 within an 18-person office
• Manage treasury and cash flow across 40+ entities and multiple bank accounts
• Oversee significant inter-entity transfers
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and executive reporting
• Review BAS, IAS, FBT and statutory compliance
• Manage banking relationships and funding requirements
• Maintain financial controls across a complex group structure
• Improve processes and reporting within Xero

This is a review-heavy role - but you'll still be hands-on. The team are strong operators. You'll guide, review and support them, while staying close enough to the detail to maintain control.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has worked in a privately owned business dealing directly with owners
• Understands multi-entity and family trust structures
• Has strong treasury and cash movement experience
• Is confident managing multiple bank accounts and intercompany transactions
• Has hands-on experience with Xero
• Is practical, commercially minded and detail-focused

Qualifications are not the priority. Capability, judgement and cultural fit are.
