  • Based at Macquarie Park, car space provided + WFH options

We now have a rare opportunity for a highly experienced Financial Controller with exceptional people management skills and finance expertise. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, with 4 direct reports - Revenue Managers, Accounts Payable Manager, Financial Accounting Manager. Your close collaboration with the Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and the broader Finance Team will be crucial in ensuring financial integrity and sustainability through effective financial management, reporting, compliance, and strategic planning. 

The impending system upgrades to Microsoft F&O and AlayaCare presents an opportunity for you to showcase your change management skills and experience in driving continuous process improvement. Your leadership will be pivotal in navigating this transition effectively while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance.

Your energetic and can-do approach, coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills, will be instrumental in fostering a positive culture and inspiring your team to achieve excellence. 

Your role will include; 

  • Managing end-to-end delivery of financial services ensuring accurate and timely processing of all financial functions
  • Reporting and analysing on efficient, compliant and risk adverse financial activities 
  • Managing the daily operational financial activities of the Finance function to ensure ongoing financial viability 
  • Monitoring and optimising cash flow to ensure liquidity for daily operations and strategic initiatives
  • Ensuring controls, guidelines and processes are put in place to identify, control and manage financial risks to the organisation. 
  • Overseeing and monitoring the production of monthly and annual financial accounts
  • Managing the completion of the annual interim and final audit programs 
  • Conducting financial analysis to support informed decision-making, in line with the strategic requirements to enable growth in a profitable & sustainable manner 
  • Evaluating financial performance and identifying opportunities for improvement or cost savings 
  • Managing the development and review of accounting and financial policies and procedures 
  • Leading fleet management including liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure fleet services meet safety regulations and business needs
  • Providing effective leadership, coaching and support to direct reports and their teams

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and organised individual who is solution focussed, and has exceptional analytical skills, together with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically. In addition to; 

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualified 
  • Previous experience working within the aged care/Healthcare industry highly desirable 
  • Demonstrated significant experience in a similar sized organisation 
  • Previous experience in managing end to end financial operations 
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing, analysing and translating and documenting business requirements 
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, diverse stakeholders and executive leaders
  • Demonstrated people effective people management experience
