The Opportunity
Reporting into the General Manager, Financial Performance & Commercial, as the Financial Performance Analyst the primary responsibility of this role is to communicate financial performance of the Procurement and Coffee business unit, provide insight into current business performance and assist in delivery of the business unit’s financial plan.
You will work across the broader RFG business, assisting with the provision of analytical insights into other business units, including the opportunity to learn and deploy financial modelling skills across various business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performance Reporting, Interpretation, and Insight.
• Report the monthly Procurement & Coffee P&L and assess drivers of performance.
• Work with the FP&A team in the provision of the monthly P&L for the RFG support functions, including Finance, IT, Legal, and HR.
• Analyse and provide insight into the monthly results, working closely with the Executive for Procurement & Coffee to help the business unit deliver its plan.
• Work with the Procurement and Coffee team on the consideration of initiatives and business proposals, including modelling scenarios to determine the financial return to the RFG Group.
• Assist the procurement team in the analysis of key business reviews across Cost of Goods Sold and Network compliance. Provide ad-hoc analysis on topical procurement initiatives.
• Provide input for your division/s into the monthly Board reporting, including KPIs.
• Assist the respective business units in the compilation of their monthly forecast, understanding key performance drivers and actions to guide the business to achieve its plan.
• Build strong relationships across the business and other Finance teams.
• Share ideas to improve the way we work and drive automation and efficiency.

Essential Criteria:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• CA/CPA qualified (or working towards).
• Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills – able to distil complex information into simple, actionable insights for a broad audience.
• Ability to multitask and work on multiple deliverables with firm deadlines.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Sound organizational and interpersonal skills.

Highly Desirable

• Experience using MS Dynamics 365 and FP&A planning tools.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.

This is a full-time role which can be based in either our Robina head office or Brisbane. If Brisbane, some commuting will be required to the Robina head office.
