Fishing Reel Technician

We are currently accepting applications for a permanent full-time Fishing Reel Technician to work onsite, with Shimano Australia Fishing in Caringbah.

The primary duties will include but are not limited to.

• Servicing and repairing of fishing reels to the highest possible standard.


• Identifying fishing reel faults, failures and assist other team members to repair reels.


• To work together as a team to meet minimum turnaround times for reel repairs.


• Effectively and professionally communicate with customers via phone, email and in person.


• Contribute to identifying parts substitution.


• Ensure data integrity to assist in stock level management for spare parts.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

• Strong knowledge of Shimano products specifically reels.


• Participates in recreational fishing regularly and can successfully demonstrate knowledge and genuine awareness of fishing tackle


• Mechanically minded, ability to diagnose, read schematics, undertake mechanical repairs, action mechanical faults and problem solve independently.


• Demonstrate high attention to detail and take pride in work.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer centric attitude


• Proficient in Microsoft Office


• Prior experience in servicing of fishing reels or working in a similar workshop is highly regarded.

This position would suit an individual who is mechanically minded and familiar with Shimano fishing products / equipment. The successful candidate will be working onsite in our Caringbah Head Office and be required to a work 7am to 3pm Monday – Friday.
