About the role

Key Responsibilities for the role

You will be servicing a large variety of machines and equipment from a range of industries.

The type of work includes:

  • Site service work on existing equipment including conditional monitoring and preventative maintenance
  • New site installations of small and large scale machine/equipment builds
  • New workshop builds
  • Refurbishment work
  • Fault finding and rectification works
  • Assemble and install mechanical components and systems according to engineering specifications including bearings, pneumatics, conveyors, shafts and keys, gears and pulleys, belts and chains
  • General machine building, refurbishment, installation, troubleshooting, commissioning
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to carry out precise work.
  • Operate and set up various machining tools to produce precision components
  • Work would be both factory based and on site depending on the project. Site work will include maintaining, installing and commissioning equipment.


Skills & experience

  • Possess the skills and knowledge to work independently to a high standard without extensive direction.
  • Ideally 3 + years experience in a similar role, possibly looking for the transition to a team leader role.
  • Excellent communication skills, happy to work on installations at client sites when needed, which may involve interstate travel.
  • Pride in work and reputation with a respect for quality and a desire to impart that on others
  • Australian recognised trade qualifications and certificates
  • Proven skills and experience for the role
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Industry knowledge and safe work practices / OH&S are essential
  • Able to work as a member of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Machine building experience advantageous, but not essential
