Fitter/Machine Operator

• Take charge of guiding and training a small group of extruder operators towards excellence.
  
  
  


• Maintain efficient organization of tools and spare parts to ensure smooth operations.
  
  
  


• Master the operation and setup of extruder and Header machines for optimal performance.
  
  
  


• Execute preventive services and maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and safe stock tool management.
  
  
  


• Liaise effectively with the engineering and maintenance teams to streamline processes.
  
  
  


• Assist in the development and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions.
  
  
  


• Provide detailed reports to shift supervisors to keep them informed of operations.
  
  
  


• Adhere strictly to safety rules and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures.
  
  
  


• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
  
  
  


• Implement and maintain 5S principles for a clean and efficient work environment.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Trade qualified with a minimum of 5 years experience as a Fitter in a manufacturing environment.
  
  
  


• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a small team
  
  
  


• High attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
  
  
  


• Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to communicate effectively with the team 
  
  
  


• Experience in FMCG, Packaging or Pharmacetuical industries would be highly regarded
  
  
  


• Hands on, proactive and self-motivated
