The Sous Chef will oversee the kitchen operations, team and food safety with a great level of autonomy and support.
Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to a high standard
Ensuring adherence to food hygiene practices and health and safety regulations for yourself and your team
Monitoring portion sizes and waste to maintain profitability
Collaborating with the executive chef to develop new dishes and menus
Managing stock levels for your station and placing orders as needed
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workstation, following industry standards
Assisting in the management of kitchen inventory and supplies
Contributing to cost control by minimizing food wastage
Supporting the team with events and functions
Preferred qualifications include culinary training and experience, with a strong focus on attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills to collaborate with kitchen and hospitality teams. proven time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. A passion for sourcing, preparing, and presenting high-quality local and seasonal produce is highly valued. Availability on weekends, holidays, and during events is required.
