Food & Beverage Manager - Immediate Start

Position overview:

The ‘Food & Beverage Manager’ is responsible for the day to day operations of The Royal Restaurant and Bar's. The ‘Restaurant Manager’ is also responsible for securing new business leads and identifying new growth opportunities with an ongoing proactive sales approach.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning, coordinating and supervising the delivery of service and day to day running of the restaurant and event spaces
• Looking after our new and regular customers, ensuring they are welcomed and valued
• Working with and training the restaurant and bar teams to ensure a high level of customer service is delivered at all times
• Communicating with Venue Manager, Head Chef and management teams to ensure service periods run smoothly and to relay positive and constructive feedback
• Working with the Venue Manager to implement strategies to attract and secure new business for both restaurant and bar.
• Developing relationships with local businesses, the local council, sporting groups etc in order to drive more business
• Audit inventory levels to ensure product availability, and order products as necessary
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products & equipment and maintain safe working conditions

The successful applicant will:

• Have 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Have proven leadership and management skills
• Demonstrate experience in a similar role
• Have excellent communication and time management skills
• Have sound administrative and computer skills
• Have an outgoing and proactive personality, someone who is not shy of going out to drum up new business
• Experience with operating a business’ social media platforms

This hands-on role is a full time position that includes evening and weekend work, although allows a good balance of days & evenings
