Food & Beverage Supervisor - Urgent Position

Quality Hotel Robertson Gardens is currently seeking a highly motivated individual with exceptional Food & Beverage Supervisor experience to join our team. Situated on Brisbane's Southside, the Hotel is set out across 10 acres with 138 accommodation rooms, conferencing facilities & a well-appointed restaurant and games room.

You will be required to work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure smooth operation of our Restaurant and Function spaces. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for all operational aspects of the function and restaurant spaces including set-ups, pack down and stock rotation.

Key skills:

In Office

• Planning and organising catering events according to customer requirements
• Liaising with clients to build accurate event bookings
• Logging all enquiries in the sales and catering system – compiling accurate function sheets and regular reports for the Operations Team
• Respond to client email requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Delivering exceptional service standards in-person, on email or over the phone
• Maintain a calendar of event bookings simultaneously

On the Floor

• Set up and pack down the event.
• Brief food & beverage team prior to service.
• Supervising food & beverage service
• Assisting with bartending, barista service or catering service when required.
• Effectively communicate with all guests and staff in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.
• Liaise with the kitchen during busy periods to ensure quality service.
• Assist in supervising and training floor staff

Working Independently

• Demonstrate a proactive and self-motivated approach to daily tasks.
• Take ownership of planning and executing responsibilities independently unless team collaboration is required for scheduled events.
• Display the ability to make effective decisions autonomously, showcasing self-reliance and initiative.
• Ensure seamless coordination of daily tasks with minimal supervision.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company’s food and beverage operating procedures

To be successful, you will have:

• 1 year experience in a food & beverage supervisor position
• Thorough knowledge of the food and beverage department
• A current QLD RSA
• Exceptional customer service skills
• A love and passion for the hospitality industry with an outgoing personality.
• Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar (preferred but not essential)
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
• Full working rights in Australia is a must.
