The Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, the FP&A Business Partner plays a key strategic role in driving financial performance and strengthening forecasting capability across the organisation. The role requires strong analytical capability combined with sound commercial acumen to turn complex financial data into clear insights that shape strategy and improve business outcomes.

You will partner closely with COO-level stakeholders across clinical operations, project management, study start-up, and business development, acting as a trusted advisor and embedding financial insight into operational and strategic decision-making.

This is a highly commercial, hands-on role with significant exposure to senior leaders and meaningful influence across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading budgeting and forecasting cycles across the clinical portfolio
• Owning P&L analysis, financial performance insights, and reporting
• Building and enhancing financial models (including scenario and sensitivity analysis)
• Strengthening forecasting capability and introducing revenue operations inputs
• Delivering monthly management reporting, dashboards, and KPI analysis
• Supporting bid defence, pricing strategy, and commercial modelling
• Partnering with operational teams to improve financial understanding and accountability
• Driving automation, BI, and reporting improvements
• Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across the portfolio

Your Profile

You are a commercially minded FP&A or business partnering professional who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments and enjoys working closely with operational stakeholders.

You are proactive, curious, and confident working with ambiguity, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insight and influence decision-making at a senior level.

You will bring:

• 3-5+ years' experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling capability
• Advanced Excel skills (Power BI or similar tools highly regarded)
• Experience working in project-based, contract, or service-driven environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• CA/CPA qualified or near-qualified (experience highly valued over credentials)
• Ability to work at pace and manage competing priorities

• Experience improving forecasting models or reporting systems
• A strong commercial mindset with a "find the story in the data" approach
