Freight Coordinator

Job Description

The Freight Coordinator is responsible for organising the transportation of finished goods from Youfoodz to consumers and businesses around the country, as well as the management of inventory equipment within our Brisbane site and through our supply chain. 

Acting as the first point of contact for Youfoodz freight partners, you will assist in resolving issues and maintaining relationships with our external courier and freight service partners.  You will be personable with excellent attention to detail, and able to support our logistics team efficiently and according to safety guidelines.

Please note this position requires you to be full time on site in Karawatha with working days/hours being Tuesday-Saturday 6am-2pm.

You will… 

• Coordinate and track deliveries nationwide across long haul and air freight to ensure on time delivery. Communicate and resolve any issues that arise during the transportation of goods.


• Be responsible for despatch from our Brisbane site, ensuring required procedures and checks are carried out to identify and mitigate risks.


• Updating freight partners of any company changes, reminders/issues that the partners need to be aware of from Youfoodz, and regulations that need to be addressed.


• Ensure day to day management of movements, monthly stocktake and reporting of inventory counts to wider business.


• Support our production and shopping departments to ensure smooth operations within our site.


• Ensure accurate and timely updates of the CHEP account and facilitate cross-departmental coordination to support pallet tracking and inventory control processes.


• Meet schedules/timelines and organise your work. Can reliably work alternative and flexible work schedules including, early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

You have… 

• Logistics outbound/supply chain experience. Preferable 2+ years experience in logistics coordination or similar role.


• Attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing operational requirements.


• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes recommended.


• Proficiency Microsoft Excel.


• Collaborative attitude, strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period.

Duration: Permanent full time role. You must have the right to work full-time in Australia.

Location: Karawatha, Brisbane 

Working days & hours:  Full time in office Tuesday-Saturday 6am-2pm
