About the Position:

• 17.5% Shift Loading in accordance with the Peter Cochrane Management EA 2018
• 13.5% Superannuation
• Casual and Full-Time employment opportunities available

Cochrane's Transport is seeking reliable and motivated Freight Handlers to join our Afternoon Shift team at our Gillman Depot.

We currently have both Casual and Full-Time opportunities available. This role is based on our Afternoon Shift, with a 2:00pm start time.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced transport and logistics environment. As a valued member of our operations team, you'll play a key role in ensuring freight is safely and efficiently sorted, loaded, and unloaded to keep our network moving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading freight from trucks and trailers
• Sorting and staging freight for dispatch
• Operating pallet jacks and forklifts (desirable)
• Ensuring freight is handled safely and efficiently
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures

About You:

• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks and lift heavy items
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Forklift license (preferred but not essential)
• Previous experience in freight handling or warehousing (advantageous)
