Job Description - Front Counter Customer Service - Urgent Hiring

We are seeking a dedicated Front Counter Customer Service to join our productive team at Recruitment Edge in Petersham, Sydney NSW.

  • 3 month assignment with potential of an extension 
  • Working with local council
  • Located at Petersham, Leichhardt and Ashfield - Sydney Inner West
  • 8:30am to 4:15pm - Monday to Friday - 35 hour week
  • Fantastic Team

We are looking for an individual to join our local council to help undertake front counter responsibilities including customer requests, applications, complaints, deliveries and visitor management to ensure transactions are processed in a timely, accurate and effective manner.

Some of your responsibilities will include:-

  • Meet and greet customers, and provide high level of customer service and engagement
  • Operate POS and cash/payment handling
  • Manage general emails and coordinate responses
  • Accurately record customer requests in the CRM system. 
  • Provide general facility and program information
  • Answer phone calls
  • Utilise manual/computer systems to manage information flow between customers and Council ensuring information is accurate and appropriate

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Need to be flexible with working from Leichhardt and Ashfield Offices.
  • Superior Customer Service skills and demonstrated experience working in a dynamic environment. 
  • Positive & proactive attitude
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision to achieve service standards.
  • Proven ability to effectively use multiple computer programs to provide accurate, consistent and complete information or solutions to customers.

COVID-19 Vaccination certification: The successful candidate for this position will be required to provide evidence of their double vaccination status, or a valid medical contraindication certificate, prior to the department finalising the appointment of the candidate.
