About us

Dental Focus was first established in 1992, The clinic has two branches in Strathfield and Merrylands. The merrylands clinic has been inside the Stocklands shopping centre for 10 years and has a great patient base that is growing. We strive to support our staff and dentists in expanding their skills and are proud to have a strong team. We are a general dental clinic that overseas children, cosmetic, orthodontic, surgical, implant and preventative work.

Qualifications & experience

• Have dental background or knowledge
• Worked as a dental assistant would be a great advantage
• Excel sheet knowledge

Tasks & responsibilities

• Professionally managing patient appointments and schedules
• Ensuring the dentist schedule is up to date and running smoothly
• Able to make payments with hicaps machine with different health fund fees/item numbers
• Able to ensure medical history forms and consent forms are up to date
• Ensuring lab work, or materials are ready for the patients next appointment, eg. crowns, implants, orthodontics, etc
• Communicating as a team with the dentist, assistants, and patients to ensure a good work flow. Having patients ultimately happy with their service.
• Claiming bulk billing, CDBS, DVA, Hospital vouchers
• Maintaining a healthy and energetic environment at the front desk.
• Communicating with staff on stock orders/materials
