Job Description - Front Office Duty Manager (F/M/X)

Company Description

Cooinda Lodge Kakadu is a unique resort nestled in the heart of Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory, Australia. Managed by Accor in partnership with the Gagudju Association, it offers guests a gateway to explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed park. The lodge provides a variety of accommodations, including lodge rooms, eco-tents, and camping sites, along with amenities such as two swimming pools, restaurants, bars, a general store, and access to Yellow Water Cruises and the Warradjan Cultural Centre

Job Description

  • Guest service excellence: Provide professional, friendly, and personalized service throughout the guest journey—check-in, stay, and check-out—ensuring high levels of satisfaction and effectively resolving any issues or complaints.

  • Operational and administrative duties: Accurately handle reservations, incoming calls, messages, and night audit tasks in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.

  • Sales and promotions: Actively promote hotel services, special offers, and loyalty programs (ALL), ensuring promotional materials are current and visible to maximize revenue opportunities.

  • Teamwork and brand standards: Collaborate with colleagues in a respectful and inclusive manner while embodying Accor values and supporting departmental goals through clear communication and shared responsibility.

  • Management and leadership: Provide inspirational leadership by embodying Accor values, empowering and developing team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, and ensuring the recruitment and retention of top talent.

Qualifications

  • Experience & Technical skills: 1–2 years in a similar role, with strong knowledge of Opera PMS and cash handling procedures; experience with Respax and working in remote Indigenous communities is an asset.

  • Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to mentor and inspire teams with excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Operational & Strategic mindset: Passion for hotel operations with the ability to think strategically, adapt to change, and stay current with industry trends
