Job Description - Front Office Receptionist for Self Contained Holiday Apartments

Front Office Receptionist for Holiday Accommodation

This position is suitable for a mature candidate  wanting long-term casual employment and is available for 3-5  days a week on a rotating roster.

Position available for immediate start.

Please only apply if you have at least 2-3 years  previous experience in the local  holiday accommodation industry.

This position is suitable for any candidate with previous experience in working at a holiday   accommodation complex - for someone  who only requires long term  weekly  casual work. Also suitable for a candidate who is semi-retired, with a hands-on approach and a passion for the accommodation industry.

The candidate will have previous experience in all aspects of a  typical reservations team & front office work, experience. 

Any experience dealing with long term tenants would be highly regarded.

The candidate will be responsible for the first point of contact when our guests arrive at the Resort, and will be instrumental in assisting with check in/out procedures, keeping records of room occupancy, making and confirming reservations and responding to any telephone inquiries   and in a friendly manner. The candidate will always strive to meet the needs of the guests throughout the entire customer experience.

This position is not suitable for students or WHV holders without any relevant experience  or knowledge of a reservation system.

The candidate will have the ability to:

  • Handle the pressure when busy while possessing the confidence to make decisions and prioritize tasks to be an efficient team member.
  • Be open and able to assist other departments when required.
  • Be available and able to work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays when necessary.

 

The candidate must also: 

  • Have prior knowledge of hotel reservations system software (RMS  or similar)
  • Be efficient with use of computers and various computer software.
  • Have effective communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Have the passion to work in the Hospitality Industry and a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations.

 

The position is available to start with immediate effect.
Although this is a casual position it is for someone seeking long term employment but not requiring full time hours.
