Full-Time Retail Team Lead

This role would suit an experienced Retail Team Lead, looking to step into a leadership and training position with an established florist

Now, we’re on the lookout for an experienced Full-Time Retail Team Leader to step into a Florist Team Lead & Trainer role. Are you ready to help shape, train, and lead our creative team?

What You'll Do:

As our new Team Leader, you’ll be at the heart of our floristry operations, living our team values and ensuring everything runs smoothly while inspiring and mentoring our team. Here’s a snapshot of your day/week:

• Lead and delegate - Oversee floristry order delegation, lead by example, and create beautiful, consistent bouquets in line with company standards.
• Goals & KPIs - Set and smash goals, manage KPIs, and keep our standards high across the whole team.
• Hustle with purpose - complete your orders to company KPIs, make sure processes are followed daily and weekly key tasks always finalised
• Train & inspire - Train, mentor, and coach our floristry team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Nurture you + your team's potential and growth! 
• Organise and think beyond - Proactively pursue decisions that nurture our future and seamlessly strategise large event day planning 
• Optimise - Monitor and creatively optimise processes to help ensure our team thrives.
• Roster management - Efficiently manage rostering with support and strategy from the leadership team, engaging in key analytics and direction.

Who We're Looking For:

• Floristry expertise - Ideally Cert III florist or equivalent experience (3+ years in fast-paced floristry). Please note - we value passion and willingness to learn, so if you are yet to learn Floristry and are willing to within this role, please reach out
• Motivated & fun - You’re hard-working yet know how to keep the workplace lively.
• Leadership skills - Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team (prior experience in team leadership a must)
• Creative & passionate - You love beautiful gifts and exceptional service.
• Problem solver - Thrive in dynamic environments, adjusting priorities as needed and thinking on the fly
• Innovative thinker - Always looking for ways to improve and set us apart. We will support you to light the way with your bright ideas!
• Community focused - Committed to making a positive impact. 
• Fantastic communicator - Adaptable, experienced communicate and seeks/delights in open feedback.
• Engaged and keen - Ready to jump in and help wherever & whatever needed 

Bonus Points For:

• Experience in small to medium business environments (especially start-ups)
• Prior experience in training staff, especially in floristry (teams of 10+)
• Strong background in floristry management, retail management or hospitality leadership

Details:

• Hours: Mon-Fri, 7am-3pm (full-time), at our Marrickville warehouse.
• Pay: $70-80k per year + superannuation, depending on experience.
