At Miracle Babies Foundation, our mission is to “improve, support and enhance all lives impacted by a premature or sick birth.” We work with families, communities, and partners across the country to provide essential support, resources, and advocacy.
The Role
The Fundraising Coordinator (Sponsorship & Grants) will work closely with the Grants Officer and wider team to secure funding for key initiatives, ensuring the sustainability of our programs and supporting organisational growth. This role is responsible for developing sponsorship proposals, managing sponsor relationships, writing grant applications, and coordinating major donor programs, including Workplace Giving, Bequests, and fundraising campaigns like World Prematurity Day.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver proposals to secure sponsorships, grants, and in-kind support.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with sponsors, donors, councils, and community groups.
Lead the execution of sponsorship deliverables and provide impact reporting.
Write grant applications, attend presentations, and manage reporting/acquittals.
Manage major donor programs, including Workplace Giving and Gifts in Wills (Bequests).
Support events, campaigns, and initiatives that engage the community and raise awareness.
Contribute to general office duties, administration, and team support as required.
About You
You’re a relationship-builder with excellent communication skills and a creative approach to fundraising. You thrive in collaborative environments, are highly organised, and enjoy managing multiple priorities.
Essential Skills & Experience
Excellent oral and written communication and the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.
Creative thinker with initiative and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Adaptable, resilient, and able to work under pressure.
Desirable
2+ years’ experience in fundraising, sponsorship, marketing, or events.
Experience creating proposals and presenting to key stakeholders.
Experience with graphic design tools (e.g. Canva) for marketing and digital content.
Demonstrated project coordination and event management experience.
