Job Description - Fundraising Growth Manager

The Role


This is an exciting opportunity to lead and grow Orange Sky’s Individual Giving fundraising program, ensuring a supporter-centric approach to generating income and engaging donors. Your primary accountability is to drive strategic and operational excellence across individual giving channels—including digital, regular giving, donor acquisition, and appeals—to support Orange Sky’s long-term sustainability and mission.


You will lead the development and execution of innovative fundraising strategies, manage a team and external partners, and ensure data-driven decision-making to optimise campaign performance and donor experiences. With a strong focus on collaboration, you’ll work closely with Marketing, Brand & Communications, and the wider Fundraising team to create seamless and inspiring donor journeys.


Reporting directly to the Fundraising Leadership Team, your role is pivotal in ensuring our campaigns are strategic, well-executed, and deliver measurable results that align with Orange Sky’s values and impact goals.



In a nutshell, this role is responsible for: 



  • Develop and implement the national strategy for individual giving, including annual plans, budgets, and income targets.

  • Lead the planning and delivery of donor acquisition and retention programs across digital and traditional channels (e.g. Meta, Search, DTV, telefundraising, 2-step).

  • Foster a test-and-learn culture by using data insights to continually optimise campaigns.

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to execute integrated communications and fundraising campaigns.

  • Ensure regular giving and appeal campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve KPIs.

  • Monitor and report on program performance, providing regular updates to the Fundraising Leadership Team and key stakeholders.

  • Ensure all fundraising activity aligns with supporter needs, market trends, and compliance standards.

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to staff or contractors working across individual giving initiatives.

  • Collaborate across departments—including with the Bequest Manager—to identify and nurture long-term donor relationships.

  • Contribute to a positive, values-aligned, and inclusive culture that reflects the spirit of Orange Sky.

The applicant must have at least three years industry experience in roles that have included fundraising acquisition and management of fundraising campaigns. 


Additionally, they will have:



  • Commitment, drive, and passion for our cause

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the not-for-profit / fundraising sector with strong administration skills a significant advantage

  • A track record of achieving performance and income targets through programmatic events and relationship-based sales / fundraising

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting and short deadlines

  • Organised and detail oriented and a history of executing fundraising outcomes

  • Ability to work autonomously and be a proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude to solve problems and give things a crack

  • Ability to apply data driven insights and data insights across the team and to plans with a creative approach in a not-for-profit environment

  • Experience using CRM databases to support fundraising activity and analysis including accurate data management with attention to the security/privacy of data

  • Current full Driver’s License
