About the role

Novotel is seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to maintain and enhance the beauty of our hotel's indoor spaces. This role involves ensuring that all vines, gardens and trees are well maintianed within and without the Atrium. 90% of the work will be indoors.

We would be looking for someone who is available once per week up to 6 hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and care for all garden and landscaping areas around the hotel, ensuring they are well-kept and aesthetically pleasing.
• Plant, prune, and trim trees, shrubs, and flowers according to seasonal requirements.
• Monitor plant health and perform necessary pest control and disease prevention measures.
• Utilize proper horticultural techniques, tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain records of plant care and inventory management concerning gardening supplies.
• Assist in landscape design projects and enhancements as required.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all outdoor areas are functional and clean.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a gardener or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of various types of plants, landscaping techniques, and horticulture practices.
• Ability to operate gardening tools and equipment safely.
• Basic knowledge of pest management and plant health care.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members.
• Basic knowledge of lawn care, landscaping, and maintenance tasks.
