As a General Manager Procurement, you'll lead the strategic direction of procurement across the organisation, ensuring sourcing, supplier management, contract governance, and third-party risk practices deliver strong commercial outcomes while meeting regulatory obligations.
This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide change, strengthen procurement capability, and evolve the systems, frameworks, and processes that enable a modern and insight-driven procurement function. You'll work closely with executives, business leaders, governance committees, and external partners to deliver value, manage risk, and support member outcomes.

This role is available as a permanent opportuninty based in Brisbane or Sydney.
ResponsibilitiesDay to day, you'll:
- Lead the enterprise procurement strategy and operating model to align with organisational priorities and member outcomes.
- Drive strategic sourcing, category management, and complex commercial negotiations across multiple spend categories.
- Oversee third-party risk management and outsourcing governance in line with regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen supplier performance, contract lifecycle management, and value realisation outcomes.
- Lead procurement transformation initiatives, including process optimisation, automation, analytics, and technology enhancements.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to influence decision-making and embed procurement best practice.
- Maintain strong governance, policy, risk, and compliance frameworks across procurement activities.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Represent the organisation with service providers, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
- Deliver procurement reporting, forecasting, savings programs, and performance insights.
QualificationsIt goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- You hold tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, Supply Chain, or a related discipline, with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
- Your procurement leadership experience has been gained within complex financial services environments.
- You'll bring deep knowledge of APRA prudential standards, including CPS 230 and SPS 231.
- You're experienced in leading large-scale procurement transformation and enterprise change initiatives.
- You have a proven track record delivering complex sourcing programs and high-value supplier negotiations.
- Your commercial acumen enables you to influence senior stakeholders and deliver strong business outcomes.
- You'll demonstrate strong capability across third-party risk, outsourcing governance, and contract management.
- You're confident leading and developing high-performing teams through periods of growth and change.
- You have strong digital literacy and an understanding of emerging procurement technologies, automation, analytics, and AI.
- Your experience includes embedding ESG, responsible procurement, and modern slavery considerations into procurement practices.
