The General Manager, Vet IT Solutions is accountable for ensuring the successful delivery and ongoing use of technology solutions across Greencross Vets, to create efficiencies for our team members and better experiences for our clients and their pets. The role integrates the services across internal and external IT partners to create an end to end value add technology function servicing the entirety of the Greencross Vet business. The role also acts as a trusted thought partner for the Vet business on how to leverage technology to meet business goals across our 140 clinics and 20 hospitals. 

• Develop (with key stakeholders) and deliver a multi-year strategic technology roadmap aligned to and enabling the Vet business strategy. 
• Ensuring the solutions, technology and service delivery are fit for purpose and meet business needs. 
• Deliver the technology stream for any integration of new businesses. 
• Support major in-flight technological projects to transform the service delivery for the Vet Services Network.
• Foster a “cut through” mentality and balance agile delivery models with more rigid governance models to enable speed to value for technology initiatives. 
• Manage licensing and subscription compliance. 
• Be accountable for day to day IT service delivery.  Ensure service levels are clear and aligned to business needs, and support models are in line with agreed delivery standards. 
• Relationship and stakeholder management across the Greencross Vet Leadership Team, IT Leadership Team and broader operational teams. 
• Key Member of both the Vet Senior Leadership Team and the IT Senior Leadership Team. 
• Manage appropriate governance forums, including Vet IT SteerCo. 
• Develop and manage relationships across Vet technology vendors and partners. 
• Ensure contracts are fit for purpose balancing cost, quality and defined service delivery metrics. 
• Establishing a culture of continuous improvement. 
• Manage and develop the Vet IT Team. 
• Responsible for the Vet technology financial budget. 

You are a results-oriented leader with the ability to develop positive, professional relationships across varied, complex stakeholder groups. You are curious and a natural problem solver and business partner who enjoys planning, and who also thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments. You like being held accountable and want to work in a team that is comprised of genuine, hardworking and talented leaders. 

The successful candidate will have: 

• Minimum 5 years experience in senior IT leadership roles responsible for delivering a portfolio across Projects, Application and Service Delivery. 
• Familiar with ITIL, SDLC, Agile delivery and project methodologies. 
• Supplier management with integrated service delivery. 
• Worked in one or more of the following industries: Healthcare, Retail, FMCG, Technology Services. 
• Project & Service Delivery in a complex multi-site, multi stakeholder environment. 
• Stakeholder Relationship Management in a complex, multi end-user/client service environment. 
• Tertiary qualifications with relevant degree and/or masters. 
• Broad IT industry knowledge and awareness.
