Classic Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a Dalby based Joinery company to assist them in hiring a new General/Operations Manager.
This business is a local leader in high quality cabinetry and kitchen, bath, office and retail fitouts. They have a current staff of 10 experienced cabinet makers.
New owners have just taken over, and they are looking for a manager who will drive change and support the continued growth of the business.
Key Duties will include but not limited to:Management: - Lead the team through adoption of new enterprise software suite.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, sub-contractors, clients and supervisors.
- Continuously look for improvements within the business suggesting changes to the owners.
- Manage the entire employment lifecycle of cabinet production team, installers and delivery drivers.
- Ensure projects are on budget, on time and installed properly.
- Review and approve invoices to be paid by accounting department.
- Manage time sheets for cabinet production team, installers and delivery drivers on a weekly basis, and approve or deny overtime as needed.
Production: - Review larger projects with the lead cabinet maker to determine appropriate scheduling, labour requirements and scheduling.
- Determine labour requirements and dispatch workers to sites as needed.
- Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
- Obtain any necessary permits and licences as needed.
Quality Control: - Manage schedule for field crew, installers and delivery driver.
- Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
- Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction and installation problems.
