General Operator

• Operate tractors, harvesters, spray rigs, loaders, and other farm machinery safely and efficiently.
  
• Carry out spraying, cultivation, harvesting, and transport activities as instructed.
  
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance to ensure equipment remains in good working condition.
  
• Report equipment faults and maintenance requirements promptly.
  

• Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.
  
• Ensure harvested produce meets quality standards for size, ripeness, and presentation.
  
• Minimise product damage during handling and transportation.
  
• Work efficiently to achieve daily productivity and yield targets.
  
• Follow handling procedures to maintain product quality and cold -chain requirements where applicable.
  
• Support irrigation setup, monitoring, and adjustments, including drip irrigation systems.
  

• Weeding and mulching
  
• Pest and disease monitoring
  
• Fertiliser and chemical application under supervision and according to safety guidelines
  
• Assist with crop protection measures such as netting and frost protection.
  

• Clean and maintain farm buildings, sheds, equipment, and facilities.
  
• Assist with fence repairs and general property upkeep.
  
• Ensure work areas comply with health and safety standards.
  
• Support waste management and environmental sustainability practices.
  

• Work effectively with supervisors and fellow team members.
  
• Follow instructions and adapt to changing operational requirements.
  
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  
• Participate in training and development opportunities.
  

Requirements

• No formal educational qualification required.
  
• Relevant agricultural certifications and farm experience will be advantageous.
  

• Ability to learn new tasks quickly.
  
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour.
  
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  
• Strong teamwork and willingness to follow instructions.
