Belmont Private Hospital is seeking General Services Officers (Domestic Services and Catering Services) as well as Chefs and Cooks to join our professional and dynamic team.

Belmont Private Hospital has recently opened its newly constructed expansion and is a 185 bed acute mental health hospital with an established reputation for excellence in the delivery of a broad range of acute mental health services.  We offer a range of specialty and sub-specialties to meet the needs of the population.  Our hospital expansion makes Belmont Private Hospital the second largest private mental health facility in Australia.

The successful candidate must have:

• General understanding of a health care setting
• Good understanding and knowledge of the hospitality industry
• Hold a Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate
• Work both independently and within a team structure
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy
• Available to work weekdays/weekends/evenings

Desirable Criteria:

• Certificate III in hospitality
• High Standard of customer service and team approach
• Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and to prioritise work effectively

Required competencies

• All employees are required to complete and maintain their mandatory education and competencies in accordance with Belmont Private Hospital policies and procedures.

Vaccination Preventable Disease

This role is designated as ‘Vaccination Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role'.  It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment:

• COVID-19
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
• Varicella (chicken pox)
• Pertussis (whooping cough)
• Hepatitis B
• You must be able to provide serology evidence for the above mentioned vaccinations
• You are not susceptible to the VPD's listed in the role description

You will be asked by the recruiting manager to supply this evidence if you are the preferred candidate for the role.
