Graduate Accountant

We're looking for a Full Time Accountant to join our small team and assist in providing quality service to our clients.

Who You Are

Currently we would be seeking a candidate with some initial experience, who is aspiring for a future qualification as a Chartered Accountant.

With constant changes to legislation, tax determinations and political movements, we provide regular training and Professional Development to help you maintain your CPD requirements.

Your Skillset

The candidate we are looking for has the ideal skillset:

- Minimum 1 year experience in Public Practice;

- Currently completed their Bachelors in Accounting (or soon to be) and moving towards a CA or CPA Qualification;

- A basic understanding of tax compliance, including the preparation of Business Activity Statements and Tax Returns, along with assisting in preparing end of year Financial Statements;

- Proficient in Xero accounting software including the Payroll and Financial Reporting modules; 

- An understanding of Self Managed Super Fund accounts preparation with BGL or similar SMSF accounting software experience;

- Experience in dealing with the ATO in negotiating payment arrangements, handle general enquiries and respond to requests for information;

- Clear, concise and well organised workpaper creation, including reconciliations, future planning points and taxation calculations (both hard and soft copy forms accepted)

- Naturally proficient in all Microsoft Office applications;
