Are you a recent Graduate or just starting your career and looking for an exciting Graduate position in the energy sector?

Our client, a leading ASX-listed energy consulting firm, is hiring a talented and motivated Graduate Business Consultant to work across a range of departments including sales, client services, new business development, account management, and operations.


About the company:

As a Graduate Business Consultant, you will be part of a growing national energy solutions provider and work across the company’s core business units: Energy Buying, Energy Management and Energy Action. 


About you:
We are looking for highly-motivated and driven graduate with an entrepreneurial spirit and ambition to drive change in the energy sector.

As a Graduate Business Consultant, you will have a passion for numbers and energy data and will thrive on opportunities to liaise with customers to delve deeper into finding solutions for them. 

To be successful in this Graduate Business Consulting position you will:

  • Have a passion for sales, including outbound phone sales 
  • Have excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills 
  • Be an excellent communicator and enjoy building relationships with people


About the Graduate Business Consulting role:
You will be part of a 12-month rotation program, learning all aspects of the business. Initially, you will work in the Business Development team, learning how to secure new business deals as well as build existing client accounts. You will also work in the Account Management Team and focus on service delivery for existing clients.

Requirements

Successful candidates will have or could develop the following attributes and skills:

  • Highly numerate, comfortable working with large data sets and conducting cost benefit analysis using a variety of metrics
  • Strong attention to detail, and numeracy skills and computer literacy
  • Strong commitment to provide excellent internal/external customer service
  • Exceptional organisational, time management and problem solving skills
  • Active team member who also can focus on delivering on agreed outcomes with minimum supervision 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment producing high quality results
  • Comfortable and confident communicator with all people, regardless of whether they are communicating with a team member, CEO or client
  • Can easily build rapport with team members, other staff, clients and service providers
  • Motivated by Key Performance Indicators/Goals (KPI’s) and results driven
  • Persuasive to develop sales and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to liaise and build good working relationships with internal departments to ensure service delivery to customers
