Here’s what you’ll do at Finisar:

• Study our products from the inside out and familiarise yourself with our codebase.
• Learn about our custom hardware platforms, and develop algorithms and application-level Linux modules.
• Actively participate in design and code reviews within an agile SDLC.
• Analyse product specifications, develop test cases, and debug any discrepancies.

To qualify, you’ll need:

• A recent software engineering or computer science degree or equivalent, preferably with honours or a distinction average (Please attach a copy of your academic transcript.) 
• Hands-on experience in developing embedded software in C, preferably for a Linux-based target. Experience from your own private hobby projects is highly valued. 
• Excellent programming skills in C/C++, python and other scripting languages.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
