Graphic Designer and Brand Advisor – NSW Trustee and Guardian



  • Ongoing full-time vacancy. 35 hours per week.

  • Location: This role is based in Sydney (Wynward) 3 days per week and 2 days working from home.

  • Clerk Grade: Level 7/8. Base salary $113,574 p.a. to $125,720 p.a. plus 12% superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the team 
The Customer Experience division provides a wide range of specialist support across NSW Trustee and Guardian including disability advocacy, customer voice and insights, marketing, brand, media, community education, communications, and aboriginal advocacy.


 


About the role
The Graphic Designer and Brand Advisor provides creative, high quality graphic design services by conceptualising, designing and coordinating the production of publications, social media assets, advertisements, videos and other communication materials for digital and print formats. You will be tasked with collaborating and engaging with employees across NSW Trustee and Guardian to ensure the successful implementation of the NSW Government Masterbrand Framework. 


 


In this role, you will: 



  • Provide day to day project support, including managing the branding inbox and providing technical advice on the NSW Government Branding Framework.  

  • Create digital and print design assets that are in line with NSWTG’s marketing and communications strategies.

  • Create and maintain branded Microsoft templates including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and ensure they are easily accessible and fit for purpose.  

  • Be flexible to support major business projects whilst still delivering on recurring design needs.

  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including the website and information technology teams to ensure work is delivered in line with NSW Government Branding Framework.

About you
The ideal candidate will need to have the following skills and experience: 



  • Tertiary qualifications in graphic design or related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.  

  • Proficient in Adobe creative cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office 365 Suite templates. Animation skills would also be advantageous.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with the NSW Government Masterbrand brand framework and other complex brand frameworks.

  • Comprehensive graphic design experience across print and digital channels and experience providing photographic and video production support, including editing.

  • Ability to apply WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards and have a good understanding of how an inclusive approach impacts the user experience.
