Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed customer needs.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Master\u0027s degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. \n\u2022 4+ years in a technical leadership role with direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports). \n\u2022 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Sr. Director and above).\n\n\u2022 2+ years of relevant GPU experience. \n\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\n\n\u2022 Leverages expert GPU knowledge and experience to architect, design, implement, verify, and/or optimize the performance and power of GPU cores.\n\n\u2022 Builds functional model simulations, develops software, and tests for various graphics to verify correctness and ensures highly advanced performance and power goals are met.\n\n\u2022 Guides team to design, program, and run highly complex, comprehensive graphics tests across the system to verify functionality, performance, power, and identify areas for improvement.\n\n\u2022 Facilitates collaboration with third-party vendors, external users, and high-level representatives from other functions to drive implementation and ensure alignment with needs and goals.\n\n\u2022 Develops highly critical driver and compiler software to support the GPU products.\n\n\u2022 Writes detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for highly complex GPU projects to guide users and/or customers to implement output; reviews technical documentation for experienced engineers.\n\nLevel of Responsibility: \n\u2022 Provides supervision to direct reports. \n\u2022 Decision-making is critical in nature and highly impacts program, product, or project success. \n\u2022 Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey highly complex and/or detailed information.
