The Role

• We are seeking a Group Accountant to support the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting across the organisation.
• You will take ownership of group reporting activities, including month-end close, consolidations, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory reporting support.
• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
• Assist with the consolidation of multiple entities and help maintain a strong control environment across the finance function.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across finance and operations to provide reporting, analysis and commentary on business performance.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, as well as variance analysis and management reporting.
• Contribute to year-end audit preparation and act as a key contact for external auditors where required.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, streamline workflows and strengthen financial controls.
• Play an active role in finance transformation and systems/process improvement initiatives.

About You

• You are a technically strong accounting professional with prior experience in a Group Accountant, Financial Accountant or similar corporate reporting role.
• You bring experience working in a medium to large organisation, ideally within a complex or multi-entity structure.
• You have strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, consolidations and month-end processes.
• You are ideally CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion.
• You have a high level of attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate, reliable work.
• You are confident communicating with stakeholders across different levels of the business and can explain financial information clearly.
• You are proactive, organised and comfortable managing competing deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience with large ERP systems and strong Excel capability will be highly regarded.
• Most importantly, you are someone who enjoys being part of a team, takes ownership of your work and is motivated to add value beyond the numbers.
