Group Junior Estimator/Tendering Role

The Kypreos Group established in 1970 is one of the largest family-owned construction businesses in NSW. The Group encompasses our asphalt production, asphalt and spray seal contracting services, traffic control and civil construction divisions allowing the Group to deliver end to end civil engineering and road infrastructure projects.

This is a newly created role based out of our Head Office in Prestons working within our Group tender team. The role is a permanent full-time role offering the right candidate a diverse and dynamic role with the opportunity to work across various operations within the Group.

Role:

The role will assist in managing our quotation and tendering processes for a wide variety of projects for our contracting services, civil construction and traffic control divisions. This is a vital role in our business development team assisting the Tender Manager and Senior Estimator in delivering tender submissions for our road infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of our tender submissions which will include:
  • Identification, review and responding to new business opportunities.
  • Compilation of tender supporting documentation and quotation/tender pricing submissions to ensure high quality submissions that meet client and Group specifications.
• Collaboration with Group sales and operational teams to identify and gather information for tender submissions.
• Build positive relationships with clients and key internal and industry stakeholders.
• Interpreting working drawings and converting to data. 
• Attending project sites and meeting with external stakeholders where required.

Skills Required:

• Excellent computer skills (proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience in a similar role preferably within the road construction or civil construction industry.
• Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt style and content to suit different audiences.
• A detail-oriented individual with strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment but also be driven to work autonomously.
