We’re searching for a Group Sparkling & Lead Innovation Winemaker. A specialist who can elevate our sparkling portfolio and steer the innovation agenda for one of the world’s most diverse wine businesses.

The Role

This is a rare, high‑impact role at the heart of Vinarchy’s winemaking identity. You’ll lead the entire sparkling wine program, shaping style direction, production standards, fruit allocation, blending decisions and long‑term strategy. You’ll work closely with viticulture, operations, supply, brand and innovation teams to ensure every sparkling wine meets the highest standards of quality, efficiency and compliance.

You’ll also be the driving force behind Group Winemaking’s innovation agenda - coordinating timelines, aligning stakeholders, ensuring new ideas progress smoothly, and helping bring fresh thinking to life across our global portfolio.

This role blends technical mastery, leadership, creativity and cross‑functional influence and comes with a tool‑of‑trade vehicle to support travel across sites and regions.

You Will

In this role, you’ll be the guardian of sparkling wine quality and the connector across viticulture, operations, supply, brand and innovation.

You’ll influence fruit selection, production decisions, blending, bottling and long‑term style direction all while championing best practice and continuous improvement.

• Own the quality, style and production standards for all sparkling wines


• Maintain vintage plans, blend specs and bottling requirements


• Partner with viticulture, supply and operations to optimise fruit quality


• Lead block assessments, sparkling classification tastings and continuous improvement


• Oversee contract sparkling production and manage key third‑party relationships


• Drive Group Winemaking’s innovation agenda and support NPD cycles


• Represent Vinarchy at tastings, industry committees, conferences and PR events


• Promote a strong internal wine culture through education and staff tastings


• Contribute to long‑term strategic planning and best‑practice winemaking procedures

What You Bring

You’re a seasoned sparkling winemaker with a strategic mindset, strong communication skills and a passion for elevating wine quality.

You thrive in complex environments, enjoy cross‑functional collaboration and bring both technical depth and creative thinking to the table.

• Tertiary qualifications in Oenology, Food Technology or equivalent


• Extensive sparkling winemaking experience


• 5+ years in a management role within production, manufacturing or agribusiness


• Strong technical wine knowledge paired with excellent communication skills


• Proven ability to collaborate across viticulture, operations, brand and commercial teams


• A genuine passion for wine and innovation

Desirable

• Business/management qualifications,


• QSE systems knowledge (ISO, HACCP, GMP, Lean)


• Brand ambassador experience

• Current driver’s licence
